As the October winds down, we look back and are grateful for the many opportunities we had to get our new album, Let June Decide, into the hands of many people, a lot of which hadn’t heard of us before.  We found ourselves at the Continental Airlines Arena for Autumn Blaze 2007 along with Toby Mac, Barlow Girl, and Thousand Foot Krutch.  Shout outs to NJ and PA folk!

This month was the start of a new season of the band’s life.  We’re looking forward to walking through many doors and seeing the music go out in new ways. There are a lot of things on the docket so please stay tuned…

CHINA TOUR?

Kind of… but not really J  Reilly member's Dan and Noele Huie will be in China for 2 weeks starting on Monday.  They'll be taking in the sights and also seeing Noele's side of the family.  Please keep them in your prayers and hope that they bring back a Panda.

Central Jersey-raised singer-songwriter wins RevGen and Autumn Blaze band battles
By BOB MAKIN
Staff Writer

God works in mysterious ways, but for Reilly, winner of both the inaugural RevGen Breakout and the Autumn Blaze Battle of the Bands, He also works in very marketable ways.

The Philadelphia-based group will perform on Saturday at the third annual Revelation Generation Christian youth festival with Jars of Clay, Newsboys and many others at Revelation Farms, Kingwood. On Oct. 13, the faith-focused five-piece will perform at Star 99.1-FM’s Autumn Blaze festival with headliners Toby Mac and BarlowGirl at Continental Airlines Arena, East Rutherford. The shows sandwich the release of the group’s second independent CD, “Let June Decide.”

“To participate in not one but two festivals is totally exciting,” said John Reilly, the band’s namesake singer-songwriter-acoustic guitarist. “God is so faithful. The timing with the new record being released just in time for these festivals, God must have something in store.

The Weekend in Review... Mastering & Battling

So last Thursday, John Reilly met up with our Producer Andy Hunt in NYC.  Andy flew up from Nashville to sit in on the mastering session with Greg Calbi at Sterling Sound.  All the songs were mixed and just need the final mastering touches.  Here's some video from the day...

And in this video below, you can hear a TEASER of the songs from the album...

So the album is 99% completed!  So close, and the final 1% is the toughest. We're going to make a little changes here and there with the sounds and then send it off to get manufactured. All the artwork is completed by Mr. Matthew Bomberger.  The art is taking a slightly different twist that While I was on Earth, but it definitely fits the album conceptually.

& by the way,

Last Saturday we played in the Autumn Blaze Battle of the Bands.  The winner got a slot opening for Toby Mac, Barlow Girl, Thousand Foot Krutch on the main stage at Autumn Blaze 2007, held at the Continental Airlines Arena (where the NJ Nets play).  There were 4 other AMAZING bands (Faith's Child, John the Raptist, Fleece and Just Passing Thru).  We had the 5th slot and played to a growing crowd on the beach.  It seemed like people were coming out of the water to check out what that crazy violin/electric guitar mix was....

At the end of the day, they announced the winners.  And we are happy and humbled to announce that we WON!  We were shocked and amazed and completely honored.  All the other bands were great.  GO CHECK EM OUT.  We are sooo excited to be playing at Autumn Blaze 2007.  God has definitely opened these doors for us to play in these great festivals.  We can't wait to share our music with the multitudes!
